Stockwell's Development:
Just a few of the illustrator versions of Stockwell that were then hand rendered as part of the process for Stockwell. Developed from the beautiful typeface Rockwell (monotype industry). By starting off with Rockwell, I removed the major slabs which I felt were too dominating, changed the inner circles to a sharper angle and then started editing these by hand, gradually these started to make the typeface Stockwell. Going over every single nook & cranny of each letter, number and punctuation mark, the typeface started to come together.
